Welcome to the official website of the American Canasta Society, LLC. The Society caters exclusively to Canasta players and all things Canasta. Invented in Montevideo, Uruguay, Canasta is one of the most popular card games in the United States. It combines luck of the draw, skill and diverse strategies. It is challenging and affords a great social experience as the game is typically played with four people. Membership, which is free, entitles you to download the complete set of rules at any time, access the member forum—where you can share ideas and learn new strategies, and our ever growing strategy section—dedicated to improving your game to its highest level. What is Canasta?

Rules of the Game

Free membership entitles you to download the entire set of rules. The Society has compiled the most complete set of current rules. There are many “table rules” utilized by different groups, but this represents a uniform set of rules to play by. Revisions may occur from time to time, and members will be notified.

We have a member looking for a game in singer island area. Anyone know of one. I can suggest getting friendly with someone at BallenIsles country club. They allow guests on Friday.
